James A. Deering Obituary

Deering, James A., of Bensalem, PA, age 45, on May 20, 2026.

Beloved husband of Andrea (nee Boyle). Loving son of James and Margaret Deering. Jim will be sadly missed by his siblings Sean (Shannon), Jill Loughery (Jimmy), Kaitlyn Stangler (Mark). Son-in-law to John and Anne Boyle, brother-in-law to Matthew, John (Jamie), and Samantha Funaro (Eric).

He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jim passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones after a 10-year battle with cancer. Though there were many difficult days, Jim’s spirit never weakened.

He continued to look for the bright spot in each day, whether he was watching the Phillies, cheering on the Penn State football team, or taking a long walk where the ocean meets the sand.

Jim was always making those around him smile with his quick wit and charm. He lived and loved with positivity and grace – a true gentleman through and through.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jim’s life on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 9:30am to 11am at St. Katherine of Siena Catholic Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Phila., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
